Hi, I’m Tosin Ogwe
Your mental wellness coach.
I’m a trained coach, based in UK, supporting individuals around the world to find their true authentic selves through empathic and compassionate listening. My exposure to child abduction, sexual abuse, abandonment and addiction was the driving force that birthed my book NUMB. Writing NUMB started my journey and quest for meaningful healing and change. This pursuit paved the way for my love and passion for people to embark on their own healing journeys.
I started my career out as a filmmaker following my BA degree in Film Studies from Kingston University. This led to the creation of my successful business, specialising in capturing candid and special moments on camera. I became a coach after experiencing excessive burnout and mental fatigue from running my business. I wanted to better my overall wellbeing and share these coping strategies with others.
Over the last few years I have built my qualifications in coaching, counselling studies, and independent advocacy. I also worked for the UK Government as a designated work coach. Beyond this, I spent some time supporting several befriending services, including voluntary work within the mental health space and engaging the most vulnerable people in the community.
In my coaching practice, my focus will be to explore your experiences and what ways they have impacted you using the framework of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Counselling skills – adhering to the BACP code of conduct, and Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), a psychological approach that works with people to understand their thinking and behavioural patterns, emotive state and aspirations.
My method of delivering will be through; one-to-one virtual coaching, walk & talk, or coaching through movies, which stems from my 13 years working as a filmmaker. We will work together, at your own pace, to identify what is holding you back from what you want and figure out your next steps. I offer various styles of coaching for individuals and bespoke mental wellness retreats.
